1000 Posts

If I include the posts I made on my website prior to learning about Blogger, I've now posted over 1000 blog entries. J - I can no longer be sensitive when you tell me I talk a lot. You're right ;)

Because of problems uploading my blog, I decided to move it from my website. If I continue to have problems publishing from here, then I'll go back to the old space. I promise to try not to make you feel too much like a yo-yo.

Love the new place!

Congrats on 1000 posts. That’s about 937 more than I was good for and a pretty cool accomplishment.

Can't believe how many blogs have disappeared in the time that you have been posting.

Glad you’re still here:)

Actually, making us feel like yo-yos could be rather interesting. :)

Yay! Now I can subscribe to your post feed, *and* to the comment feed.

Interestingly, just yesterday I started cleaning up my links and deleted a dozen blogs had gone dark, and found almost 2 dozen that have been dormant for the last few months. I moved them to the "MIA/AWOL" list, and I expect that I'll delete them in the next round.

I can't bring myself to delete "The Goddess of Fauxdom," though. Hope springs eternal, and all that.

Suzy, if you're writing elsewhere, would you let me know? Privately, of course, and I promise not to blab. I just miss your stories. In fact, I now have a name for the genre of story that I've been writing, based in part on the inspiration that I've gotten form you.

I call it "humorotica."

Okay, that sounded a lot better in my head.

Anyway...

Blogger is convenient because you can tie the photos into a Google Picasa account and have plenty of room for pics that will satisfy both you and Susan.

Wordpress has a decet amount, too, but I find that I post most of my pics on Picasa anyway, and just use the WP space for the one-offs.

Susan, I'm so glad to know you're still around. I just wanted to say - "what Tom said". I promise not to say a word if you let me know where you're blogging. I do think there are a lot of us who feel that way. Bill says hi and he feels the same as well, but he understands if you prefer otherwise :) Me too - "what Bill said".

Arafin - I thought the same thing as I was typing that sentence. Fractionation is our friend ;)

Tom - I know what you mean about dormant blogs. I deleted a lot off my list for that reason. I was somewhat ambivalent about it as even the old content was worth reading.

Thanks for the tip about picassa. Haven't used it in a very long time and don't really remember a lot about it. I'll check into it again.

All of you were the reason I began writing ... and although life isn't what it should be at the moment, I still can't stay away and love to check in now & then. I may get back in the mood during the holidays...

Susan: miss your sassy writing. Lady Julia, thanks for saying 'Hi', Your page always draws me, even if I don't comment as often as I should. And Tom, .. what can I say? LOL thanks for absolutely being you! Love sharing the 'fifties' with you.

Dear Lady Julia,

Thank you for the kind words. As to the Halloween poem, there is at least one error. Please change (in line 4) "show" to "shows" to make subject agree with object. As to your cowgirl fetish, then let me offer the willing partner's perspective...I dream of you in red...

When the cowgirl brands my mind,
when I am tied to her pleasure,
then I surrender myself
helpless within her relentless control.

It is not easy for me to do this,
but it is better to be your slave
than to rule an empty universe.
I have no purpose but your purpose

Dear Lady, my mind is your mind,
My body waits for your command.
My desire ends at your fulfillment.
How may I complete your erotic design?

Regarding Susan’s delectable literary talents, I wished to echo the feelings of Lady Julia, Tom, and Grey Owl. However, I don’t want to be just another copy cat, ... so I will not echo their words. I also think that at this point it might simply be best to come right out and offer Susan a bribe to share her magically playful writing with us again. Please just name your price, Susan. (Don’t be afraid to think high because I have cracked Tom’s bank codes and thus have no qualms about paying through the nose.)

Palimpsest, you're such a lovely person. I have made the correction :) Love your words, as always. I'd love to hear from you via email sometime should you have a moment.

Grey Owl, it's always so good to hear from you. I hope that things are going ok for you.
